Richard Young is one of the most celebrated society and celebrity photographers of the modern era. Since beginning his career in 1974, he has captured many of the world’s most iconic figures, from Diana, Princess of Wales, Elizabeth Taylor, and Mick Jagger to Andy Warhol, Bob Marley, and Kate Moss. His work spans glamorous soirées and intimate portraits to major political and humanitarian moments, including Fidel Castro in Cuba, U.S. troops in Iraq, and Nelson Mandela’s 46664 concerts. Named by The Times as “one of the most important photographers of the 20th century,” his images have appeared in leading publications worldwide. Together with his wife Susan, he founded the Richard Young Gallery in Kensington, London, dedicated to his archive and contemporary photography.
