Roberto Miglietta (b. 1955, Novoli, Lecce) is an Italian painter, sculptor, and designer whose work transforms raw matter into contemporary art. Trained as a restorer, he developed a deep sensitivity to materials such as wood, iron, brass, glass, stone, and jute. Much of his practice is rooted in the Salento region, where he gives new life to centuries-old olive trees devastated by Xylella, turning them into powerful sculptural forms. His artistic language blends experimentation with a strong sense of memory, layering iron and acrylic to create textured figures, portraits, and abstract compositions. Alongside his artistic production, Miglietta has worked on important restoration projects, including Torre del Parco and Palazzo dei Perroni in Lecce, now home to the Pollicastro Boutique Hotel, designed by him. His studio-gallery in Lecce, Via Ascanio Grandi 64, is both a creative workshop and an exhibition space showcasing his unique vision of matter and form.
Ginevra is the daughter of artist Roberto Miglietta and closely follows him in his artistic projects, bringing her sensitivity and passion into the creative process. Her brother, Fernando, supports their father on the managerial and logistical side, ensuring that each initiative is carried out with precision and care. Together, they contribute to sustaining and expanding Roberto’s vision. Alongside her involvement in the arts, Ginevra cultivates her own passions: she is an avid reader, deeply drawn to both writing and painting, practices through which she explores and expresses her personal creativity.
